The Alachua County 4-H Livestock Judging Team met many challenges on their recent trip to Denver for the 2017 National competition. The cold weather and snow were only part of the learning experience for these Florida kids. They held their own in the competition while judging “western cattle”, including Gelbvieh and Balancer breeds. The team placed 20th overall out of 30 teams in the cattle judging, 15th in goats, and 16th in sheep. The team is getting ready to compete at the Florida State Fair in Tampa and at the State Contest in April, 2017
