County Quarterly Meetings
ACCA meets in varying spots around the county every season. These meetings provide educational programming relevant to our county members, allow discussion about current issues, and provide an opportunity to socialize. Meetings typically occur during the months of March, June, September, and December.
State Quarterly Meetings
FCA meets in varying spots around the state every season for several days. These meetings provide state-level educational programming relevant to our members, allow discussion about current issues, and provide an opportunity to socialize. Meetings typically occur during the months of March, June, September, and December.
Alachua County Master Cattlemen Program
The Alachua County Extension Service offers a Master Cattlemen program every couple of years. This multi-week program lets producers get in-depth information related to certain information such as forage, herd nutrition, or marketing.
University of Florida Beef Cattle Shortcourse
ACCA encourages its members to participate in the UF Beef Cattle Shortcourse. While its a statewide program, it does occur in our backyard. This educational event brings the latest research and technology to producers in an intensive three day format. The next conference will be held May 2-4, 2012.
Master of Beef Advocacy Program
The Master of Beef Advocacy (MBA) program is a voluntary, self-directed online learning environment designed for beef producers. It provides facts about the industry and product, beef. Producers who participate in the MBA program will be equipped to communicate those facts to fellow producers and consumers. Find out more about the program here.
Conventions, Meetings and Trade Shows
ACCA encourages its members to participate in national and state activities. Check out the dates for future national activities. The Annual Florida Cattlemen’s Association Convention and Trade Show will happen June 18-22, 2012.
